Turgo Water Turbine generator is widely used in hydro power plants with the high head from 20m to 400m. Design flow rate from 0.1m3/s to 1.84m3/s.
With turgo turbine generator, the water flow output from nozzle flows along a certain angle of plane of rotation of the running wheel instead of flowing along the tangent of the turning wheel, and the water flow goes inside the blades from one side and goes out form blades from another side. The turgo turbine generator adopts single curved surface blades, the water flow goes through the blades will splash, therefore the efficiency is low. The water turbine generator is applicable for the small-sized and medium-sized power station with the hydraulic head range of 20-400m.

A half-coupling on the shaft of turbine is also a flywheel and connected directly with another half-coupling on the shaft of generator. Rotating direction of the runner is clockwise when see from the generator.
This turbine uses a long nozzle of 62°/45°in good performance, an intake pipe of 90° and a conduit elbow.
